Transnistria 2009
Here's a couple of pictures from the time spent in Transnistria - see the slideshow below as well

Well, this is what we called home for 10 days, and it was just like that - a little piece of Northern Ireland, in the middle of a very poor country. Unlike some of the people in the surrounding towns/villages, we had at least some mod cons, i.e. running water and electricity, even if the water did smell like sulphur (at least we were able to flush toilets!)

And here's the group that went out - it makes you wonder how they ever were allowed into the country!
